Configure Email to use Windows Default

The WinScore desktop application allows you to send emails through your favorite Email client tool instead of setting up a specific SMTP server connection.

Setup Steps for Windows 10

  1. Open the Default Apps window.
    1. On the Windows Task bar, use the SEARCH feature and type: Default Apps
  2. Choose Default Apps
    1. Select Email
    2. Click on the Mail icon and select your email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc…)
  3. Set Default Apps by Protocol
    1. Scroll down on the Default Apps page and you should see 3 options. Click on the Choose default apps by protocol link.
    2. Scroll down to the protocol: MAILTO
    3. Click on the Mail icon and select your email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc…)
