There seems to be some magic around how to properly close a tournament – payouts for shooters, All-American Points, punches, pay the NSCA, your state organization, and others… If you step back, there is really only a handful of steps that are repeated for each event followed by the steps to finalize everything and produce the correct data for the various organizations.
1.) Finalize each Event
1a.) Open the Event Results Page.
1b.) Select the Event Results radio button.
1c.) Select the Event to calculate the results for.
1d.) Select “1 – Main” to calculate the class results and awards
NOTE: this report will show any tie breakers required to be resolved to calculate the awards! These ties will need to be broken via a shoot-off or adding additional Tie Breaker fields in the SETUP.
1e.) Select the “All Concurrents” Report to calculate the concurrents results and awards.
1f.) Select the “All Options, Punches, AA Points” report.
Repeat the steps above for EVERY event!
2.) Finalize the Tournament
At this point you have completed finalizing each event – assigned punches, All-American points, awards and awards! Now it is time to create all of the payouts and roll-up all of those events into some reports that can be provided to the NSCA and your club. Plus you can export the payouts or print checks directly from the application.
Create the Payouts
1.) Select the PAYOUTS button on the home page.
2.) Click on the Compute All button.
3.) Run the Payouts Summary report and Shooters Payouts report to verify that everything looks correct.
Create the NSCA and State Organization Reports
These reports and data files are all built into the WinScore application are completing this step is as easy as clicking a button!
1.) Click on the CLOSE THE SHOOT button.
2.) Click on the State Financials button to create the Target Fees report to be mailed into the state organization along with payment.
3.) Click on the SEND TO NSCA button to email the NSCA the shoot’s data file, NSCA Financial report including target fees and memberships information, and the Shoot Targets Broke Details report.
Create the Reports for the Club
The reports required for a club differ for every club. On the CLOSE THE SHOOT page, you will have the ability to print out an assortment of reports that should meet their requirements. You can also go to the DATA EXPORTS page and create a series of excel spreadsheets that should allow you to create any level of custom reporting that you require.
